Suicide.

Suicide is one of those things nobody completely understands. A lot of people are left to make sense of it. Sometimes suicide victims don't even leave a note.
Sometimes people do it because of stress.
They feel like the world is pressuring them to do so many things at once or that they have been rushing through things in life that would normally take five years to do and they can't take it anymore and blow their brains out.
Sometimes people do it because of rejection.
Whether it be the world rejecting them, peers rejecting them, or whatever they just cannot take the sense of rejection. They can't comprehend that someone doesn't want them, or they feel the world would be better off so they slit their wrists.
Sometimes people do it because of grief.
Maybe they've lost someone who means so much to them, through death, through rejection, or through anger. They cannot take the sense of losing someone that close to them that they decide they can no longer live and pop a whole bottle of pain killers.
Sometimes people do it because of sadness.
They can't take being sad so much and can't find a sense of happy. They feel like jumping off a cliff would show them happiness, letting them let go, so they do it.
No matter what reason, its never the answer.
I'm not going to sit here and say how "stupid" or "ignorant" it is. Because I've tried.
I'll come right out and say it.
But thats not the point.
The point is, it runs through some peoples mind, whether its a small thought that quickly goes away, or a serious thought they plan on acting out on, its not "nothing".
1-800-HOPE

Amen,
Lyndsey.
